DETAILS:

Shri M.D. Khare studied temples of pre-Gupta style in central India. He completed the second and third chapters of monographs on the pre-Gupta temples in India. The second chapter discusses Prehistoric religion and deals exhaustively with the evidence of Proto historic temples. The third chapter describes the Pre Gupta temples at Besnagar, Nagari, Bairat, Mathura, Srawasti, Kaushambi, Nagarjunkonda and Taxila dating from.400 B.C. to 300 AD.
